Bulgaria, Turkey to increase cooperation on influx of Syrian refugees

Bulgaria and Turkey have vowed to deepen bilateral cooperation regarding the influx of refugees from Syria, vowed the foreign ministers of the two neighbors.

Sunday Bulgarian top diplomat Kristian Vigenin is on an official trip to Turkey, where he discussed matters of joint interest with Turkish counterpart Ahmet Davutoglu.

According to Vigenin, who spoke after the meeting, Bulgaria and Turkey are already effectively cooperating on managing migrants from war-torn Syria.

But the Bulgarian Foreign Affairs Minister also expressed hopes that coordination between the two countries will intensify and deepen.
