Turkish FM calls on Bosnia to continue reforms

imgVisiting Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davotuglu on Wednesday urged Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) to carry out reforms as soon as possible amid social unrest.

“You must not wait any longer,” said Davotuglu, “BiH urgently needs international help over a new package of political and economic reforms.”

The Turkish foreign minister met BiH high officials and discussed about the recent protests.

The European Union (EU) has also called on BiH parties to overcome political stagnation and pick up speed of reforms.

Protesters and police clashed violently on Feb. 7, with over 200 injured. The protests have continued, though subsided.
