Egyptian FM to start Arab tour

Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry will visit Jordan on Tuesday as the first stop of an upcoming Arab tour which will include visits to Saudi Arabia and Kuwait from 8 to 11 July.

Shoukry will visit the Arab nations to discuss current events of regional importance. A statement released by the foreign ministry noted that Iraq will be among the topics discussed.

Bilateral relations will also be a topic of discussion, especially political and economic cooperation.

In Jordan, Shoukry will speak at the Executive Committee of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, where he will discuss “the latest developments in the occupied territories in light of the recent escalation by the Israeli forces against the Palestinian people”.
