Three civilians were killed when a mine exploded during the weekend in the northern region of Mali Kidal, the holding of the United Nations Mission of Peace in Mali (MINUSMA) said in a statement on Sunday.
Two soldiers of the UN peace were injured, one seriously, when another explosion occurred near as MINUSMA forces rushed to the scene of the explosion.
The statement did not give the nationality of the two injured peacekeepers, but “strongly condemned these acts aimed at paralyzing the operations of the mission on the ground and injured UN staff as well as innocent civilians.”
