Libya strongman Khalifa Haftar will not attend roundtable talks at a Palermo conference aimed at stabilising the north African nation but will meet regional leaders on the sidelines, his office said on Tuesday.
Haftar’s self-proclaimed Libyan National Army (LNA) said he had travelled to the Italian conference to “hold a series of meetings with presidents of regional countries to discuss the latest national and international developments”.
