Dodik condemns Germany’s Baerbock on country position

Milorad Dodik, the Serb member of tripartite BiH Presidency, has slammed German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock over her alleged stance on the country’s troubles.

Baerbock is set to visit BiH in the coming days, klix.ba, a news portal close to the Bosniak ethnic group, reported.

“She’s telling lies… and is completely unscrupulous against Serbs and the Republika Srpska (RS, Serb entity). Her policies won’t be supported, but let’s wait. I’m not her spokesman,” Dodik said.

RS will not accept any sanctions against it, he said, adding that sanctions would only halt every single development project in BiH’s other entity – the Federation (Croat and Bosniak one).

At the EU Foreign Affairs Council meeting, Croatia and Hungary were the only two member states against sanctioning Dodik, klix.ba also reported.

According to the source, Germany and the Netherlands were most in favour of issuing sanctions as soon as possible against those who undermine the Dayton Peace Agreement and destabilise the situation in the country with their policies.
