TEHRAN (FNA) – Bahrain’s ambassador to Tehran in a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki here Wednesday submitted a message from his King Hamad bin Isa al-Khalifa to the Iranian President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
During the meeting, Mottaki viewed the two countries’ relations as moving on a unique path, and reiterated that Iran attaches special significance to the development and consolidation of ties with Bahrain.
He also pointed out that Tehran is pursuing the agreements made by the two sides during the recent joint economic commission meeting.
For his part, the Bahraini diplomat lauded Iran’s measures and efforts to promote mutual cooperation and maintain regional peace and stability.
“Bahraini official are decisive to expand bilateral relations and support expansion of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s ties with regional countries,” he underscored.
