Ahmadinejad to Visit Natanz N. Facility

A02329178.jpgTEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is slated to visit Natanz nuclear facility on the occasion of the National Day of Nuclear Technology.

Ahmadinejad will visit various parts of the site on Tuesday morning, accompanied by officials from the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) a press tv report said.

He will also deliver a speech at a ceremony to mark the National Day of Nuclear Technology in the capital, Tehran.

The ceremony will be attended by the Head of the AEOI, Gholam Reza Aqazadeh, and other high-ranking officials.

On April 9, 2006, President Ahmadinejad publicly announced that Iran had acquired the technology to enrich uranium, using domestically-manufactured centrifuges.

Consequently, the date was officially designated “The National Day of Nuclear Technology” in the Iranian calendar year.
