The head of the Kurdistan Democratic Party calls for a halt to the escalation and affirms support for dialogue in Syria.

The President of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Masoud Barzani, called for an end to the escalation in Syria and a return to dialogue and previous agreements, stressing support for political efforts and strengthening Kurdish rights in a way that serves the unity and stability of the country.

The President of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Masoud Barzani, stressed the importance of stopping the fighting and escalation taking place in Syria, and returning to the agreements previously concluded to achieve stability between the Syrian parties, in a message he addressed regarding the latest developments in the country.

Barzani explained that, as part of the efforts to address the Syrian crisis, a joint meeting was held yesterday in Erbil.

The meeting included US Special Envoy to Syria Tom Barrack, the Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces Mazloum Abdi, member of the General Command of the Syrian Democratic Forces Rohlat Afrin, and the Head of the Department of Foreign Relations in the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria Ilham Ahmed, along with the President of the Kurdish National Council in Syria, Muhammad Ismail.

Barzani expressed his hope that the fighting and tensions would stop as soon as possible, and that all parties would return to the path of dialogue and adhere to previous agreements to address the existing conflicts.

The head of the Kurdistan Democratic Party also considered the decree issued by Ahmed al-Sharaa regarding Kurdish rights to be a positive step in the right direction, expressing his hope that it would be built upon and strengthened with the approval of the concerned parties, in order to guarantee the rights of the Kurdish people on clear legal and constitutional grounds.

The President of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Masoud Barzani, stressed the continuation of political and diplomatic efforts to support a peaceful solution in Syria, in a way that serves the unity and stability of the country and preserves the rights of all its components.
