A new settlement project led by a reserve soldier named after a farm in the heart of the West Bank

It is not the story of a farm or the story of a settler who loves agriculture in “Judea and Samaria”, but a focus that is cultivated in the heart of the West Bank to transform a weapon, a road and a dominance, under the cover of “holiness.” Thus began a leaflet of a settler named Yeddia Plutkin calling for a donation to what he called a “holy farm”, in soft language that concealed a more ruthless project.

One post exposed the trick. Behind the word "holy farm" was the expansion of a complete settlement project: caravans. Ways. A weapon. and collective funding. ICAD's team is tracking the thread, and the truth has come out:

It is not the story of a farm or the story of a settler who loves agriculture in the “Desert of Judea and Samaria” as he claims. This is the tale of a bridgehead that pays to swallow what... pic.twitter.com/NOQoz3kuUO

The ICAD team searched behind the facade to reveal that what is being marketed as a farm is nothing but a settlement outpost founded by a reserve soldier in the occupation army, Elisha Turner, who quickly turned into a symbol of advanced settlement south of Jerusalem, presenting itself as a farmer while building caravans, barns and new roads, and bringing new settlers.

Satellite imagery between 2024 and 2025 revealed the unbeautifying truth: a continuous expansion, new facilities, and a road that splits the hills to impose more control. This is not the behavior of a farm, but a calculated stretch map, in which settlements advance step by step under the cover of a “civilian.”

It was not surprising that Turner appeared inside the outpost with an M4 rifle, in a picture that summarizes the new form of settlement: an armed settler, protected by the laws of Ben Gvir, and supported by collective funding and political cover. “Zuhar Judah” is not a farm, but a head of a settlement bridge that re-draws the land by force, as the farmer is no longer points on the map, but a reality that sows fear… and turns the seed into thorns.
