US Strikes Hit 16 Iranian Cities
US airstrikes targeted sites in 16 Iranian cities overnight, according to Iranian media and local officials, marking another major escalation in Washington’s aggression on Iran.
According to Al Mayadeen, the attacks struck locations across southern, western, and central Iran, including the provinces of Khuzestan, Hormozgan, Fars, Yazd, Lorestan, Markazi, Isfahan, and Sistan and Baluchestan.
In Khuzestan Province, provincial authorities said four people were killed and five others injured after strikes around Ahvaz. Explosions were reported in seven areas of the city as well as near Omidiyeh and Andimeshk.
Additional explosions were reported in Firouzabad, Taft, Shirkuh, Borujerd, Khorramabad, Anarak, Nain, Khondab, Jask, Bandar Abbas, and Konarak.
Officials in Hormozgan said attacks on Bandar Abbas caused a temporary power outage, while authorities confirmed that several civilians were injured after the port area was struck.
IRGC Announces 26th Wave of Operation Nasr 2
In response, the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) announced the twenty-sixth wave of Operation Nasr 2, saying it had carried out joint attacks against US military positions in Kuwait.
According to the IRGC, the operation destroyed a US electronic warfare unit at Al-Udairi Base and struck a clinic inside the facility, killing or injuring several personnel.
The Guard also said the attacks damaged the base’s air traffic control tower.
The statement said the operation was carried out in retaliation for US crimes, including Thursday’s attack on the Shalamcheh border crossing with Iraq, which Iranian officials said killed two people and wounded eleven others.
IRGC Rejects Ceasefire ‘Deception’
The IRGC accused Washington of attempting to exploit calls for renewed negotiations to rebuild its military capabilities.
“The enemy must pay the price for breaking its promises,” the statement said, adding that the United States would not be allowed to replenish its oil reserves and weapons stockpiles under the cover of what it described as a deceptive ceasefire before resuming attacks.
The Guard also claimed the US had relied on B-1 bombers launched from Britain’s RAF Fairford after American naval forces in the Indian Ocean exhausted their stock of cruise missiles.
Reiterating previous Iranian statements, the IRGC stressed that any military base used to launch attacks on Iranian territory would be considered a legitimate target.
Britain Warned over Military Support
The IRGC concluded by warning the United Kingdom against further involvement in US military operations.
It accused Britain of bearing historical responsibility for regional instability, citing its colonial legacy, the partition of the region, and its role in the establishment of Israel.
Earlier on Thursday, Iran’s Foreign Ministry condemned London’s decision to allow the United States to use British military facilities to facilitate attacks on Iran, describing such cooperation as complicity in aggression and war crimes.
Iranian Lawmaker Warns over Diego Garcia
Separately, Ebrahim Azizi, head of the Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, warned Britain over its support for US operations, specifically referencing the UK-controlled Diego Garcia military base in the Indian Ocean.Iran
In a post on X, Azizi said “the era of Sykes-Picot is long over” and warned that Britain could eventually lose Diego Garcia “like your other colonies.”
He also urged London to “reflect on the fragility of its own borders,” adding that Iran’s capabilities extend “far beyond military options.”
The remarks came as Tehran intensified criticism of Britain’s military cooperation with Washington.
Diego Garcia hosts one of the United States’ most important overseas military facilities and has long served as a hub for strategic bomber operations, logistics, and naval deployments across West Asia and the Indo-Pacific.
Iranian officials have identified the base as a key platform supporting recent US military operations, alongside RAF Fairford in England, which has hosted US strategic bomber deployments.
Tehran has repeatedly warned that any foreign military base used to facilitate attacks on Iran constitutes a legitimate military target, signaling that any further escalation involving British facilities could broaden the geographical scope of the conflict.
