Iraq’s Parliament Speaker in Tehran

fathi20081007113617437.jpgIraqi Parliament Speaker Mahmud Mashhadani arrives in Tehran to discuss the regional developments as well as boosting bilateral relations.

The Iraqi official was welcomed by the Head of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of Iran’s Parliament (Majlis) Alaeddin Boroujerdi on Tuesday.

During his two-day visit, Mashhadani will meet Iran’s Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Judiciary Chief Mahmoud Hashemi Shahroudi, Chairman of the Expediency Council Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Saeed Jalili and Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki.

The Iraqi speaker traveled to Iran via the Iranian airline Mahan Air. He will leave Tehran Thursday for Damascus, Syria.
