Latvian president to visit Macedonia

Latvian President Valdis Zatlers will visit Macedonia on Wednesday, July 14, Macedonian President Gjorge Ivanov’s Cabinet said.

During the visit, the defense ministries of Macedonia and Latvia are expected to sign a Memorandum of Understanding.

Besides the talks with President Ivanov, Latvian President Zatlers will meet Parliament President Trajko Veljanovski and Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski.

On Thursday, Latvian president will be heading to Ohrid, where he will tour cultural-historic sites.

Zatlers visited Belgrade on Tuesday for talks with Serbian top officials. He attended the opening of Latvian-Serbian business forum.
