MEP Bernd Posselt: hope for start of Macedonia’s EU accession talks in first half of 2011

After meeting Macedonian President Gjorgje Ivanov, MEP Bernd Posselt expressed hope that Macedonia will get a date for start of EU accession talks in the first half of 2011.

He said that the only problem at the moment is Belgium because its six-months EU presidency is ran by a technical government. He believes that Macedonia can get a date for start of accession talks during Hungary’s EU presidency as Hungary considers Macedonia as its great friend.
