Turkey expects PKK withdrawal until the end of summer

Turkey expects the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) to withdraw from Turkey before the end of summer, Justice Minister Sadullah Ergin announced on March 27.

“We have projected the exit [of the PKK militants] before the end of summer,” Ergin said.

“The inaction and exit abroad are the phases that should be finalized before the end of summer,” he said.

The minister declined to give definitive dates for the further phases, but he said the whole process should be finalized as soon as possible.
