Turkish FM condemns attacks staged in Baghdad

Turkish Foreign Ministry strongly condemned Thursday’s attacks staged in various regions of Iraqi capital Baghdad killing numerous civilians in a statement released on Friday.

“We wish God’s mercy upon those who lost their lives in the sad incidents, offer our condolences to the families of the victims and a speedy recovery to the injured. We are worried that the violence and terror attacks occuring one after the other might cause segregation and interrupt Iraqi people’s hopes of having a safe future together,” the statement said.

The Ministry also urged Iraqi officials and all political leaders to mutually work towards re-establishing stability in the country and reiterated that Turkey was ready to provide the necessary support within this framework.
