Egypt condemns murder of national guards in Tunisia

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the attack in Tunis that killed four National Guard personnel on Wednesday.

The attack was carried out at dawn in the western province of Kasserine.

The spokesman offered condolences to Egypt’s “sister state’s government and people and to the families of the martyrs”, stressing full solidarity with them at this critical situation, reported state-owned Al-Ahram.

The attack was reportedly carried out by “Uqba Ibn Nafe’a”, the largest jihadist group in Tunisia, which would have ties with Al-Qaeda.

Egypt has repeatedly called on the regional and international communalities to join its “war against terrorism”.
