Tunisia says stability in Libya is imperative

Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi has affirmed that stability in Libya and Tunisia are intertwined urging for intensive go-between efforts to reconcile the warring parties in the troubled nation.
Tunisian Presidency said, in a statement released on Thursday, that the president made the affirmation during a meeting with the head of the supreme council in Libya, Abdulrahman Al-Suwaihli,
currently on a visit to Tunisia.
Stability in Libya is necessary for Tunisia and the whole region, he said calling for non-intervention in the country’s local affairs.
He also urged for dialogue among the Libyan groups to find a political settlement and pave way for building a new state on solid foundations.
For his part, Al-Suwaihli expressed gratitude for the Tunisian president’s conciliation efforts for Libya, noting that bad conditions in his country were no longer tolerable.
