Addressing an open session of the Islamic Consultative Assembly here on Sunday, Haddad Adel stressed, “Even criminals do not deserve such a treatment let alone a student who has been studying at the university library.”

“This is the police of a country which believe that they are entitled to world leadership and a country which intends to rule the world, a country which frequently claims that it wants to gift freedom, human rights and democracy to the other countries,” he continued.

“How poor the world should be to have a master and ruler like the US,” Haddad Adel pointed out, adding, “Observing such behaviors and attitudes helps one understand the reason underlying world hatred for the US. The United States has turned into a conceited empire which will be ruined sooner or later.”

Meantime a group of representatives in charge of handling the affairs of Iranian expatriates also condemned the behavior of the US police, and called on the relevant officials to follow up on the case.
