MPs Strive to Form Iran-US Parliamentary Friendship Group

A number of representatives at Iran’s Islamic Consultative Assembly here on Tuesday started collecting signatures from their colleagues to approve a plan for the formation of Iran-US parliamentary friendship group. Earlier on Sunday, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Seyed Mohammad Ali Hosseini said such issues should be pursued through official channels.

“If there exists such a plan, then those favoring the plan should refer it to the officials to be studied and assessed,” the spokesman added.
