Deputy FM to Visit Azerbaijan This Week

r7.jpgTEHRAN (FNA)- Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Alireza Sheikh Attar is slated to pay a visit to Azerbaijan on June 4.

Azerbaijan’s ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to Iran Abbasali Hasanov told APA that during the visit to Baku by the Iranian official, the two sides are scheduled to discuss preparations for the next meeting of Iran-Azerbaijan Interstate Joint Commission.

Hasanov also pointed out that Sheikh Attar will meet with Azerbaijani officials during his two-day long visit.

Iran’s Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki and his Azeri counterpart Elmar Mammadyarov co-chair the two states’ joint commission.

The Iranian foreign minister is also due to visit Azerbaijan during the commission meeting.
