Rigorous control at Ukrainian customs from August 24

The inspected travelers will have to show the cash or documents confirming that the given sum can be withdrawn from bank accounts.

The Ukrainian customs service will selectively check if the foreigners that cross the border have money to stay in Ukraine as from August 24. The sum for every month of stay is equal to the minimum subsistence level multiplied by 20, i.e. the equivalent of 18,330 Moldovan lei.

The measure applies to the citizens of Moldova, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and other countries from Asia and Africa, except the people living near the Ukrainian border.

The inspected travelers will have to show the cash or documents confirming that the given sum can be withdrawn from bank accounts. The border guards can also ask for documents showing that they made accommodation reservations and for the return ticket.
