EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton, who is starting her visit to the Western Balkans, says she wished to talk about Serbia’s next steps toward the EU.
Ashton said that “she wanted to talk about the next steps that Serbia wanted to take in order to make progress in the EU accession candidacy procedure,” her cabinet has announced.
“The Western Balkans is the main priority of the EU foreign policy. The door to Europe is open for the entire region once the conditions for that are fulfilled,” the announcement adds.
