Macedonia: New govt members to be announced in next few days

Macedonian President Gjorge Ivanov is expected to give a mandate to VMRO-DPMNE leader Nikola Gruevski to form a government.

Gruevski will have 20 days to announce the members of the new government, but most probably he will reveal his new cabinet before the end of that period.

Nikola Gruevski and Ali Ahmeti, chairman of Democratic Union for Integration (DUI), have reached an agreement on the distribution of ministerial posts. The Albanian party will have two deputy prime ministers – in charge of enforcing Ohrid Framework Agreement and of European integration. It gets also the ministries of defense, justice, local self-government, environment and economy.
