EULEX to exhume possible mass grave in northern Kosovo

EULEX will start to exhume a possible mass grave in Mitrovica, northern Kosovo, after two bodies were found  by local residents during construction works.

A team of EULEX experts and war crimes investigators visited the place in Mitrovica on Saturday.

Blerim Krasniqi, EULEX spokesperson announced that results are being waited a deeper analysis: “Bone samples were taken in order to determine if they are of forensic interest, meaning if they belong to people who died between 1 January 1998 – 31 December 2000, as a consequence of the 1998-1999 war in Kosovo.”
