NATO and EU remain the strategic goals for Macedonia

Macedonian Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski called for consensus among the parties with the ruling coalition and the opposition over the European integration of the country.

Speaking at the celebrations of the anniversary of the VMRO-DPMNE, PM Gruevski said that the EU and NATO continued to be the most important strategic goals, but if anyone considered politics more important, then Macedonia needed to make an urgent analysis on how to cope with this situation.

VMRO-DPMNE’s coalitional partner – the Democratic Union for Integration (DUI), on the other hand, commented on Gruevski’s statement describing it as an appeal for fast integration in the EU and NATO.
