Military action in Syria would end civil war, says Turkish FM

The military operation in Syria will not lead to the aggravation of the situation in the country, on the contrary, it will put an end to the civil war and loss of lives, Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu told journalists on Friday.

“Transferring chemical weapons under international control will not solve all the problems in Syria and will not guarantee that Bashar al-Assad will stop the violence against citizens of the country,” he said.

According to Davutoglu, more drastic measures should be taken against the Syrian regime.

Earlier Russia suggested transferring Syrian chemical weapons under international control and Syrian authorities agreed with this.
