Pakistani PM starts 3-day visit to Turkey

The Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Nawaz Sharif was Monday heading for Turkey on a three-day official visit, an official press release said.

The release said the prime minister is scheduled to meet Turkish President Abdullah Gul and co-chair the third session of the High Level Cooperation Council. Several Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) covering areas such as housing, education, culture, and trade are likely to be signed during the visit.

The Pakistani premier is visiting Turkey at the invitation of his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan and will also address a business forum in Istanbul. The Business Forum is likely to be attended by leading Pakistani businessmen and they would interact with Turkish counterparts to explore mutually beneficial business opportunities.
