Ukraine postpones new govt formation to Thursday

The formation of the new government of Ukraine has been postponed to Thursday.

“I am instructing the formation of a national unity government on Thursday,” Parliament Speaker and acting president Oleksandr Turchynov announced.

Initial reports suggest that the new government could be formed on Tuesday.

Turchynov, who was appointed as interim head of state at the weekend, said that political leaders and committees must work “day and night” if they must, to form the new cabinet on Thursday.
