France Raids, Freezes Assets Of Pro-Iran Pro-Hizbullah Zahra Center In Northern France; MEMRI Drew Attention To Center Beginning In 2010

On October 2, 2018, French police raided the pro-Iran pro-Hizbullah Centre Zahra France located in a suburb of the port city of Dunkerque. The center’s assets were frozen by Paris; also frozen were the assets of Iranian Intelligence Ministry’s Directorate of Internal Security, Iranian Deputy Intelligence Minister in charge of operations Saeid Hashemi Moghadam, and Iranian diplomat in Vienna Assadollah Asadi. The same day, searches were carried out at the homes of 12 members of the center, and weapons were found. The events followed a thwarted attack on a June 30, 2018 “Free Iran” rally held outside Paris by the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI).(by memri.org).
