Iran to Exhibit Japanese Calligraphy

A01349762.jpgTEHRAN (FNA)- The Imam Ali Museum of Religious Arts is slated to hold a ten-day exhibition of calligraphy works by Iranian and Japanese artists.

The museum will display the works of 20 Japanese and 50 Iranian calligraphers. Some 30 calligraphies from the Qajar and Pahlavi eras will also be exhibited during the event, a press tv report said.

The event will introduce Japanese customs such as the tea ceremony, flower arrangement as well as the art of wearing Kimono and tying the Obi sash.

The exhibition will be held in Tehran from May 1 to 10, 2008.
