US-Iranian Clash On Iraqi Border

US and Iraqi puppet troops clashed with Iranian army forces in the border area near the town of al-Mandali in Diyala Province on Thursday, September 7, 2006.  

Al-Jazeera satellite TV said that US troops withdrew after a clash with Iranian units, leaving their Iraqi puppet allies.  Al-Jazeera reported that the Iranian forces then captured five of the Iraqi puppet regime soldiers.
