Russian Imperialists Illegally Constructs Pipeline On Foreign Territory

Georgian Parliamentary Chairperson Nino Burjanadze called on the international community on October 27 to condemn illegal construction of pipeline on Georgia’s territory.

Construction of a gas pipeline that will link Russia’s North Ossetia with Georgia’s  rebel South Ossetian province  was launched on October 27, Russian  news agencies reported.

The rebel  province of South Ossetia currently receives gas from the territory controlled by the Georgian central authorities, the Civil Georgia reported.

“Any kind of deal with the South Ossetian de facto authorities without the Georgian central authorities’ permission, including the participation of any foreign company in a tender of the planned construction [of the gas pipeline], will be assessed as an infringement of Georgia’s territorial integrity,” the Georgian Foreign Ministry earlier said.
