Russia confirms Iskander missiles in Kaliningrad

imgRussia confirmed Monday that it has deployed Iskander missiles in Kaliningrad, on border with Poland.

A Russian Defense Ministry spokesman insisted this doesn’t violate international agreements.

Both Lithuania and Poland expressed statements of concern.

The deployment marks the realization of threats from Moscow to respond with a firm gesture to NATO plans to place elements of the European missile shield close to Russian borders.
