Croatian court decides former Yugoslav Agent Mustać can be extradited to Germany

Council of Northern Croatian town of Varazdin court ruled Thursday that Mustać, who is wanted in connection with the murder of Stjepan Djurekovic a political emigrant would be assassinated by the Yugoslav secret services near Munich, in 1983, can be sent to Germany for to be judged.

“The court finds that the limitation period can not be considered as a reason to refuse the request for extradition of the person sought,” explained Igor Pavlic, vice-chairman of the proceedings.

Lidija Horvat Mustać’s lawyer said, however, that she still hopes that extradition could be prevented.

“I have asked the Supreme Court that all action to be stopped and waiting his response,” said Horvat.
