ECO’s Ministerial Meeting Opens in Tehran

A0022408.jpgTEHRAN (Fars News Agency)- The meeting of the Interior Ministers of the Economic Cooperation Organization’s 11 member states kicked off work here on Wednesday.

The meeting was inaugurated by the Iranian Interior Minister Mostafa Pour-Mohammadi’s speech on the necessity for the establishment of a coordinated security system in the region for the purpose of economic and trans-regional development.

ECO Secretary General Anvar Khurshid and representative of the UN Crimes and Drug Office as well as the participating ministers are among the other speakers of the day.
