Quake Hits Northeastern Iran

 An earthquake measuring 3.5 on the Richter scale jolted the western parts of the Iranian province of Northern Khorassan on Monday. The seismological base of Ghouchan affiliated to the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University registered the quake at 06:37:10 hours local time (03:07:10 GMT).

The epicenter of the quake was located in an area measuring 56.51 degrees in longitude and 37.56 degrees in latitude.

No reports have yet been received on the possible number of casualties or damage to properties by the quake.
