The chief UN nuclear inspector Mohamed ElBaradei responded to US criticism, saying critics weren’t giving attempts to get Iran to come clean on past nuclear activities a chance to work. ElBaradei, chief of the International Atomic Energy Agency, also urged both Iran and the US-led camp pushing for new Security Council sanctions over Tehran’s nuclear defiance to agree to a time-out to cool passions and pave the way for a return to negotiations.
